The following is a picture of a warm fuzzi exchanged with my third-grade techer, Mrs. Hines.  Warm fuzzies were a fun way for us to communicate with other students during class.  I strongly believe that being able to write these helped us improve ourselves as writers.  It gave us a chance to write, but not to worry about any grade that we would get on it.  We were free to be ourselves, free to have fun with writing.

Warm Fuzzie Labyrinthine

It's fun to be able to write letters and notes to your friends without getting into trouble, and the best part is when they leave you something besides a note, like a piece of gum or candy, and the teacher just smiles and says as soon as your done with your work you can write again, and I smile back thinking what a cool teacher she was because she let us actually write notes to our friends and we were supposed to learn from it because we got practice with our spelling, and grammar, and all those other skills that other teachers just did out of the book, but not my teacher because she said, "write a warm fuzzie to practice your skills", and I did, and I still learned and that should be what writing is all about - HAVING FUN!
