Beliefs about Education

I believe the following to be true:

Successful education of a student relies on having a clear set of goals and a plan to accomplish them. These goals and plan must be continually improved for optimum success in the classroom.

Statements of Personal Attitudes:

I personally feel that:

I must design a curriculum that is helping each student learn. If students are not learning, they are not receiving a proper education. If a lesson does not teach students anything, then that lesson must be changed.

Observable Teacher Behaviors:

In my teaching, I will:

Have lessons complete and turned in each week on time. I will continuously improve my lessons and change them. Whenever possible, I will develop lessons that not only teach academics, but also teach real world experiences.

Student Instruction

Beliefs about Education

I believe the following to be true:

Students can benefit and gain more from their education if they are having fun. It is the instructor’s job to devise instructional techniques that make learning fun so that all students respond to school in a positive way.

Statements of Personal Attitudes:

I personally feel that:

One instructional strategy will not meet the needs of every student. A variety of techniques must be used to successfully educate all students. It is my job to find out which technique is appropriate for each student.

Observable Teacher Behaviors:

In my teaching, I will:

Use of number of instructional strategies so that the needs of every student are met. I will try to keep up with current trends in my student’s lives so I relate them to individual lessons. I will incorporate student-generated rubrics so students can help set their own standards on certain assignments.
